Kaiser Cancer Center, new, state-of-the-art cancer care center located in the D-HUB Special Economic Zone (SEZ), BSD City, Tangerang, has officially implemented EpiSoft, the Australian-engineered oncology electronic medical record (EMR) platform. This milestone makes Kaiser Cancer Center the first healthcare facility in Indonesia to implement EpiSoft as a fully digitised oncology EMR, establishing a new benchmark for specialised, digital-first oncology care in the region.
As a leading women-focused cancer clinic with a “day hospital-style” model, Kaiser Cancer Center is leveraging EpiSoft to digitise essential clinical workflows – including chair-based infusion management, drug charting, and pharmacy ordering. This implementation aligns Kaiser’s clinical operations with international standards, ensuring that doctors can accurately manage complex treatment protocols while sharing patient information with unprecedented efficiency.
The center is now actively utilising the EpiSoft platform to manage its growing patient base, ensuring that every treatment plan is supported by evidence-based technology designed to meet the rigorous safety and performance demands of modern cancer care.
dr. Adithia Kwee, Founder & Managing Director of Kaiser Cancer Center, stated, “Kaiser Cancer Center is committed to transforming the cancer journey for our patients, and EpiSoft is an integral part of that transformation. EpiSoft’s integrated electronic oncology protocols and oncology-tailored workflows have been transformative for our clinical team. The system provides the precision and safety required to manage complex treatment regimens with confidence, allowing our doctors to focus entirely on patient outcomes. It has effectively bridged the gap between our clinical aspirations and everyday practice, ensuring every patient receives world-class, evidence-based care,”
For EpiSoft, the implementation at Kaiser Cancer Center marks the platform’s entry into Indonesia and further strengthens health technology collaboration between Australia and Indonesia. Jenny O’Neill, Chief Executive Officer EpiSoft, stated, “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Kaiser Cancer Center as they pioneer a new era for oncology services in Indonesia. Our goal is to empower clinicians to deliver oncology care safely, efficiently and to the gold standard. Being part of Kaiser’s journey to a world-class oncology service resonates deeply with our mission. We look forward to continuing this partnership as they expand their reach across Jakarta,”
The successful implementation at Kaiser Cancer Center is the result of a strategic collaboration supported by key partners dedicated to elevating Indonesian healthcare infrastructure. The market opportunity was initially introduced to EpiSoft by the Australian Government’s AusTrade Landing Pad program, which provided critical support in refining EpiSoft’s product-market fit within the Indonesian healthcare sector.
Lauren Adams, Trade and Investment Commissioner, Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), stated, “The implementation of EpiSoft at Kaiser Cancer Center demonstrates how collaboration between Australia and Indonesia can drive the adoption of technology that delivers tangible benefits to the healthcare sector. Through the Landing Pad program, Austrade supports Australian technology companies in understanding market needs and building strong local partnerships. We hope collaborations such as this will continue to create opportunities for the exchange of innovation and strengthen the digital transformation of healthcare in Indonesia,”
EpiSoft then engaged JP Consulting to advise on navigating the local market landscape. Through the expertise of their Jakarta-based consultant, the JPC team was able to facilitate vital connections with prospective customers and tailor a market entry strategy that addresses the unique needs of Indonesian healthcare providers.
Jeff Parker, Managing Director of JP Consulting, mentioned, “Bringing health technology into a new market requires more than having the right solution; it also requires a deep understanding of clinical needs, regulatory requirements, and local market dynamics. We are proud to have supported EpiSoft in building connections and navigating Indonesia’s healthcare ecosystem, ultimately leading to its implementation at Kaiser Cancer Center. This implementation demonstrates how international expertise and local market knowledge can come together to deliver solutions that are relevant to Indonesia’s healthcare sector,”
Looking ahead, with the foundational infrastructure now firmly in place, the collaboration between EpiSoft and Kaiser Cancer Center is entering its next phase of innovation. The current roadmap focuses on further integrating EpiSoft into the Indonesian digital health ecosystem, with planned initiatives, including planned interoperability with the SATUSEHAT platform; the development of eRequesting functionality in collaboration with Kaiser Cancer Center’s local laboratory partners to streamline diagnostic workflows; and further integration with Kaiser Cancer Center’s internal clinical systems to create a seamless, fully unified patient record.
