epi-me customers to benefit from latest secure messaging enhancements

EpiSoft is pleased to announce the release of advanced secure messaging capabilities in the EpiSoft epi-me patient portal and eReferrals product for hospitals. Epi-me has now met the conformance requirements of the Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA) Secure Messaging Industry Offer project.

These enhanced features for our epi-me hospital customers include:

  • Integrated lookup across multiple secure messaging providers utilising a federated provider directory service including identifying your accredited doctors who have secure messaging capabilities and the capability to invite them to send their hospital bookings electronically;
  • Ability to receive – and electronically acknowledge receipt of – hospital referrals utilising Australian standard Referral and Clinical Document messages
  • The ability to securely exchange messages based on current and future Australian encryption standards

This functionality will be part of our next major epi-me release version 2020-12 scheduled for Dec 15 2020.  We look forward to working with secure messaging directory providers and message delivery partners to implement electronic hospital referrals for the benefit of our 75 + and growing epi-me hospital customer base.
